Lead Electrical Designer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Lead Electrical Designer to drive electrical design and execution across new outlet setups and existing site upgrades. The role involves end-to-end electrical planning, design standardization, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical design and drawing preparation for new projects, renovations, and retrofits.
• Prepare and review Main Single Line Diagrams (SLD)and detailed electrical layouts.
• Design and develop power layouts, lighting layouts, CCTV, and data layouts.
• Perform load calculations, cable sizing, switchgear sizing, and UPS/battery sizing as per standards.
• Design and finalize SPN and TPN Distribution Boards (DBs).
• Prepare and validate electrical BOQs/Bill of Materials (BOM)and project CAPEX.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal project teams for design approvals and execution.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure alignment with project requirements and standards.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide technical inputs.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Support execution teams in resolving design-related issues during installation and commissioning.

Key Requirements:

• 7-9 years of experience in electrical design and drawing preparation, preferably in commercial projects (retail, hospitality, malls, etc.).
• Strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD 2D.
• Expertise in:
  • Load calculations
  • Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
  • Lighting and power layouts
  • Cable and switchgear sizing
• Experience in handling multi-site project coordination.
• Good understanding of electrical standards, safety norms, and compliance.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
